How do I get my childrens stories published?
I've been writting childrens books for some time now. I have a number of books completed. I am now ready to go to the next level and get my books published. However, I dont know what the steps are to take to go forth. Can anyone refer me to some publishers, and let me know what I need to do next.
Here’s a step-by-step process a calls 7 Ds of publishing: (1) Decide what to write about, (2) Discover your readers, (3) Dedicate time for writing, (4) Design effectively, (5) Designate a professional editor, (6) Deal with a professional publisher, and (7) Distribute the book effectively.

This question gets asked a lot, so I usually don’t answer, but I’m a Creative Writing major right now and one of my professors recently told me that the best way to try and get published would be to start out small. Subscribe to some writing journals or magazines and enter contests that way. Get short stories published first, which will help build up a type of resume for writing. Once this is done, you can submit to publishers and mention what you’ve published in your Query Letter.
