Use rhyming names for the characters…like….Silly Billy, Nice Brice, etc. and explain the first day of school for a first grader who is scared about making new friends. Their names describe the varying types of children the main character will encounter. At the end of the day the main character meets the perfect new friend on the bus home. Shy Bry. It should be fun to create names! Good Luck.

Do a story about a group of children who go out for a picnic or into the woods or somewhere to play, and one of them gets lost. They all go to look for their friend, but can’t find him. Over time they split up and all end up getting lost, until from the sound of a whistle or something else they all meet up with each other again. The moral of the story would be that it’s always best to stay together in strange places.
