Does anyone know any nonfiction characters who rise to lots of power and then fall to their defeat? Must be non-fiction.

I'm asking this because i have to make a childrens book about Napoleon's empire and its fall. Napoleon came from the lowest class level, became a very succesful officer, and won the favor of the French people and crowned himself king. Then he lead France to becoming most arguably the most power nation in the world until his empire's demise began once they were defeated after trying to conquer Russia. In case you didn't know

i need to make a childrens book for a class project and i'm in charge of illustrating it. i can't draw. i was wondering is there any websites, like the ones that let you make a avatar character of your self, that will let you make simple still scenes and then print them off for use as an illustration in a book?

When I was growing up I loved the childrens book that had little shape characters that lived in a town together. They were for example named Mr. Square and Mrs. circle.

I have children of my own and would love to share these books with them, but cannot remember the name or author. I also haven't seen them and I am the only one that remembers them. lol Am I confusing two things together or did they really exist.

Does anyone remember these books and know what they are called or the author??

Ok. So Im an artist and currently an art student. I have great work and have written a childrens book and illustrated it all myself . I want to get it published. Problem is I have no money with the crappy economy and paying for school. Is there a way to get it to a publisher first with out having to pay for it? All of my images for he book are first drawn out then scanned into my computer and rendered there. Wht is my next step??? Please help!

How do you bind a childrens book? do you use cardbord and then put laminated paper over the top of it? and what kind of paper do you print the pictures and words on? Picture paper maybe? I dont need to get a publisher or anything hardcore like that. Because Its just for my senior project at school so all I need is to write it and make it look all professinal. Any tips would be fatastic.

For a Geography Summative, my task is to write a childrens book about Global Warming, but I am unsure of how to do that without scaring the younger generation.
